Congratulations to the White Oak Middle School Band and Mrs. Schrumpf on their first-place "Best in the State" win in the Association of Texas Small School Bands Outstanding Performance Series. Their UIL performance of Normandy Beach March will be featured on a compact disc of all winners in class C/CC middle schools and A/AA/AAA high schools. Mrs. Schrumpf will receive a plaque on behalf of the band at the Texas Music Educator's Association convention in San Antonio in February.
